The Workforce Institute, a think tank that helps organizations drive performance by addressing human capital management issues that affect both hourly and salaried employees, features the National Fund in its latest post. Perhaps most interesting, is a podcast interview with Fred Dedrick, National Fund Executive Director – Dedrick explains, in a good bit of detail, the strategic approach of the National Fund and its 23 sites.

Loh-Sze Leung, executive director of SkillWorks, the National Fund regional collaborative in Boston, is the co-author of “Time, Skill Needed to Fix Economy,” an op-ed in the Boston Herald discussing the skills gap and its impact on the Massachusetts economy.

Also, The Bradenton Herald (FL), reported this past week on a site visit by Dedrick to the CareerEdge Funders Collaborative Manatee Sarasota. It’s an interesting look at how the work of the National Fund is aligning with innovation that is taking place in communities nationwide.
