Radio Frequency Identification Technology Industry Partnership

Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Central and Northern Pennsylvania plans to develop a Northwest Pennsylvania industry partnership for a new cluster within information technology focused on radio frequency identification.

The new industry cluster will bring together existing information technology providers, software development firms, and process (factory) automation companies who can provide specialized RFID software, networks, and manufacturing system integration. The objective is to educate, train, and mentor workers in order to transition their companies to attain world-class prominence in the area of RFID integration capabilities and to increase the overall number of regional workers who understand and can use RFID technology.
